MOSCOW, September 23. /TASS/. Officials in Sevastopol revoked the alert about an incoming missile that was issued earlier this morning, Governor Mikhail Razvozhayev reported on his Telegram channel.
"The missile and air raid warning has been cancelled," he wrote.
Earlier this morning, Razvozhayev advised car drivers and public transport passengers to disembark the vehicles, as he called on citizens to seek shelter in underground passages or tunnels amid an air raid alert.
Earlier on Saturday, the Sevastopol governor said the debris from a downed rocket fell near Sukharnaya Bay, the northern part of the larger Sevastopol Bay, after air defenses were activated in the Russian Black Sea city. Passenger ship traffic has been suspended in the city.
Ukrainian troops delivered a missile strike on the Black Sea Fleet headquarters in Sevastopol on Friday. The windows in ten houses were shattered by the shock wave. There were no casualties among civilians though. One serviceman is missing from the attack. According to the Russian Defense Ministry, five missiles were shot down by air defense systems.
