MELITOPOL, July 1. /TASS/. An explosion rang out in Melitopol on Saturday night, which could be an effect of Russian air defenses engaging a target, the city’s military-civilian administration said.

"There was the sound of an explosion in Melitopol. Keep calm. Details are being verified. Tentatively, an air defense system was engaged," the administration said on Telegram.
