Dozens of foreign mercenaries killed in Zaporozhye Region
A foreign mercenary base was hit by Russian artillery troops
MELITOPOL, April 3. /TASS/. A foreign mercenary base was hit by Russian artillery troops in the Zaporozhye Region, killing several dozen mercenaries, Vladimir Rogov, leader of the We Are Together With Russia movement, told TASS on Monday.
"Our artillery troops used Krasnopol guided shells and hit a foreign mercenary base in the Zaporozhye direction. The enemy’s losses are currently being estimated, but for sure we are talking about many dozens of foreign militants," he said.
Rogov told TASS on March 27 that the Ukrainian side had pulled up to 75,000 troops in the Zaporozhye direction after the March 23 attempted offensive that was thwarted by Russian forces. Up to 400 militants were killed back then.
According to Rogov, there are Germans among the mercenaries fighting in the Zaporozhye direction. Apart from that, in his words, the Polish language is often heard in radio intercepts in the Zaporozhye Region. He noted that more than 10,000 Polish nationals had taken part in combat operations in Ukraine in 2022.
