CHISINAU, March 9. /TASS/. The would-be perpetrator of the terrorist attack that was foiled in Tiraspol was detained by special services on March 3, according to a video program aired on Thursday by the First Transdniestrian television channel.

The program is based on data from the State Security Ministry.

"Law enforcement agencies on March 3, 2023 detained a person that, as the investigation established, acted as part of a group of other persons on the territory of Transdniestria under direct supervision and at the direction of representatives of foreign special services with the purpose of actual killing, in a manner that’s dangerous to society, through an explosion, of certain officials," said Vyacheslav Brynzar, the head of Transdniestria’s Investigative Committee.

He said the suspects were caught red-handed.
