GENICHESK, March 5. /TASS/. Security measures against possible terrorist threats will be tightened in the Kherson Region after a terrorist act in the Bryansk Region. Checkpoints and patrols will be strengthened in the region, as well as control of the line of contact, Vladimir Saldo, the Kherson Region's acting governor, wrote on his Telegram channel.
"I gave an order to strengthen the protection of the Kherson Region from possible terrorist manifestations. Internal roadblocks and patrols will be strengthened, measures to identify terrorist accomplices and signs of preparation of terrorist acts will be intensified. The servicemen, for its part, will strengthen control of the line of contact and the surrounding area," he wrote.
On March 2, Ukrainian saboteurs penetrated into the border area of the Bryansk Region. According to official information, two people were killed and a boy born in 2012 was injured. The Russian Federal Security Service confirmed that an operation was conducted to eliminate the infiltrators. Russian President Vladimir Putin slammed the incident as an act of terrorism.
