Ukrainian saboteurs abduct, release medical worker in Bryansk Region
It is reported that local residents are remaining indoors in their homes with all windows shut, no one can leave, and the sounds of gunfire can be heard
MOSCOW, March 2. /TASS/. Ukrainian saboteurs who infiltrated a village in Russia’s borderline Bryansk Region abducted a medical worker when he was travelling in his car and then released him, a local resident who witnessed the incident told TASS on Thursday.
The paramedic was driving between the villages of Novy Ropsk and Lyubechane when he was taken hostage by the Ukrainian raiders, the eyewitness said.
"A paramedic from Lyubechane was abducted during a raid by Ukrainian saboteurs; they have now released him. The paramedic was alone at the wheel of his car, driving from the village of Novy Ropsk," the witness reported.
Local residents are remaining indoors in their homes with all windows shut, no one can leave, and the sounds of gunfire can be heard, the witness added.
Ukrainian saboteurs infiltrated a border district of the Bryansk Region on Thursday morning. Russia’s Federal Security Service (FSB) confirmed that an operation was underway to eliminate the border infiltrators. According to official data, one civilian was killed while another was wounded in the attack by the Ukrainian saboteurs.
