MOSCOW, February 23. /TASS/. The adviser to the Iranian sports minister, Esmail Ahmadi, was killed in a helicopter crash in the southern city of Baft on Thursday, IRNA news agency said citing sources in the hospital.

Earlier, the news agency reported that the helicopter carrying Iranian Sports Minister Seyyed Hamid Sajjadi Hazaveh had crash-landed. According to the governor of Iran’s southeastern province of Kerman, Mohammad Mehdi Fadakar, 13 people, including the minister, were hospitalized. The agency added, citing eyewitnesses, that two people suffered severe injuries.
