American medic’s death in Artyomovsk reported by The Daily Telegraph
Pete Reid was killed during the evacuation of local residents, according to Campbell MacDiarmid, a journalist for the British newspaper The Daily Telegraph
LONDON, February 3. /TASS/. American medic Pete Reed was killed in Artyomovsk (called Bakhmut in Ukraine) while evacuating local residents, Campbell MacDiarmid, a journalist for the British newspaper The Daily Telegraph, wrote on his Twitter page on Friday.
"Pete Reed, an American medic, was killed in Bakhmut Ukraine yesterday while helping evacuating civilians," he tweeted without elaborating on the circumstances of his death.
According to Fox News, Reed was a US Marine Corps veteran, and had served tours to Afghanistan.
On November 2022, NBC television reported that at least six US citizens had been killed in action since the start of the Russian special military operation in Ukraine.
In November, Russian Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova stated that the West had entrenched itself as a party to the Ukraine conflict by sending mercenaries to take part in hostilities.
