Terrorists attempt to assassinate Zaporozhye Region’s deputy culture minister

MELITOPOL, November 11. /TASS/. Terrorists planted an explosive device and tried to assassinate the Zaporozhye Region’s deputy culture minister. He is alive but shell-shocked, a law enforcement official told the media on Friday.
"This morning, at about 8 o'clock, an attempt was made to assassinate the deputy minister for culture, sports and tourism of the Zaporozhye Region. The terrorists planted a makeshift explosive device in the storm drain near the entrance of the house where the official lives. In the morning, a car arrived to pick him up. The device went off at the moment the official opened the front door. He is alive, but slightly shell-shocked," the law enforcement agencies said.
A law enforcement official said that the man’s life was not in danger.
"All those who work for the terrorists should remember: we will track down everyone. The punishment for such acts is most severe in Russia," the law enforcers warned.
The entrance to the apartment building and an apartment on the ground floor were damaged. An investigation team is examining the scene of the attack.
