NEW YORK, November 8. /TASS/. A polling station located in one of Louisiana’s schools has been closed over a bomb threat, NBC reported on Tuesday.

According to it, the bomb threat was reported at Kenner Discovery School located within a 20-minute drive of New Orleans. It was noted that a couple of days ago the school’s administration had already received another bomb threat. A new polling site was organized at a different school in the same voting district.

The United States is holding its midterm congressional elections on November 8 to elect all members of the House of Representatives and one-third of the Senate. Republicans may receive control over at least one chamber of the US Congress which would help them block the majority of US President Joe Biden’s initiatives for the next two years.
