12 reservoirs with fuels hit by Ukrainian troops in Shakhtersk — DPR government
The Republic is taking measures to prevent the impact of this emergency on consumers and to prevent fuel shortages, head of the DPR government Vitaly Khotsenko said
DONETSK, October 27. /TASS/. Twelve reservoirs with fuels have been damaged in the city of Shakhtersk in the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) as a result of shelling by Ukrainian troops, head of the DPR government Vitaly Khotsenko said on Thursday.
"Twelve reservoirs with fuels have been hit by a shell in Shakhtersk. We are taking efforts to prevent impacts of this emergency situation on consumers and prevent fuel shortages," he wrote on his Telegram channel. "We will spare no efforts to remedy the situation.
By now, the fire at the Shakhtersk railway station has been localized and 42 more reservoirs with fuels have been saved, the local emergencies agencies told TASS, adding that a possible explosion of fuel has been prevented.
According to the latest reports, no one has been either killed or hurt.
The city’s mayor, Alexander Shatov, told TASS earlier that Ukrainian troops shelled the city’s railway station causing fire of tank cars with fuel, the railway station building and nearby houses.
