BELGOROD, October 10. /TASS/. Reports of a blast in the Russian city of Belgorod are untrue as blast sounds came from ammunition disposal activities, the regional crisis center told reporters on Monday.

"Blast sounds were heard in the city of Belgorod, as well as in the Belgorod and Yakovlev urban areas. The Defense Ministry’s bomb squads carried out activities to dispose of ammunition at a shooting range," the crisis center said.

On Monday morning, a number of media outlets reported that a major explosion had been heard in Belgorod.
