Transport security measures reinforced in Crimea after terrorist attack on bridge

SIMFEROPOL, October 10. /TASS/. Security measures at all transport infrastructure facilities have been strengthened in Crimea after the terrorist attack on the Crimean bridge, Acting Transport Minister of the region Nikolay Lukashenko told TASS on Monday.
"Transport security measures have been reinforced for all facilities in the Republic of Crimea. They were already strengthened last week after a meeting on security, and now even more, including in terms of inspections," Lukashenko said.
A truck exploded on the Crimean Bridge on Saturday morning, causing several fuel tanks of a train to catch fire. Three people were killed in the blast. Two spans of the bridge’s roadway to the peninsula collapsed but a lane leading from Crimea to the Krasnodar Region reportedly remained intact. The head of Russia's Investigative Committee, Alexander Bastrykin, slammed it as terrorist attack, indicating that Ukrainian special services were behind it. At the moment, railway traffic on the Crimean bridge has been restored, the ferry crossing works as well.
