MOSCOW, June 14. /TASS/. The Ukrainian strike on Russian settlement of Zaymische, Bryansk Region, was carried out with a Tochka-U tactical ballistic missile, Governor Alexander Bogomaz said on Russian TV Tuesday.

"An investigative group has been working there for the whole day, a criminal case was opened. According to the military, the strike was carried out with a Tochka-U," the governor said.

He underscored that the attacked settlement has no military sites, and the strike targeted a residential area.

"The people are frightened by what has happened, when a missile landed in the village and exploded in one house’s courtyard. It was 8 in the morning; many people were at their homes. The injured people, a man and a woman, were in the courtyard, where the missile landed," the governor said.

The governor also said that the six people, injured in the strike, are in moderately serious condition.

"They received medical aid in the morning, all of them were hospitalized, all sustained soft tissue injuries, all of them in moderately serious condition. Bryansk Region medical authorities reported that their lives are not in danger," the governor said.

On Tuesday, six people sustained shrapnel injuries in the shelling of the settlement of Zaymische. The strike damaged approximately 50 buildings. Water and energy was temporarily shut down in the settlement. The settlement is located about 50 kilometers away from the Ukrainian border. The Investigative Committee opened a criminal case over charges of attempted murder of two or more people, carried out by a group of people in a generally dangerous way.
