Magnitude 6.0 earthquake rocks Japanese Honshu’s coast

No tsunami warning was issued

MOSCOW, May 22. /TASS/. A magnitude 6.0 earthquake has hit the eastern coast of the Japanese Island of Honshu, the European Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC) said on Sunday.

The epicenter was located at a depth of 60 kilometers some 231 kilometers off the Japanese city of Tateyama, Chiba, with a population of around 50,000.

No tsunami warning was issued.
