Warehouse fire in Moscow region contained at area of 34,000 square meters - EMERCOM
In total 109 people and 37 pieces of equipment were involved in extinguishing the fire
MOSCOW, May 3. /TASS/. Firefighters managed to contain the fire which broke out in a warehouse in the Bogorodsk urban district of the Moscow region, a source in the press service of the Russian Emergencies Ministry told TASS.
"At 03:05 Moscow time, [the fire on the] area of 33,800 square meters has been localized. The building is on fire throughout the area," the ministry said.
In total 109 people and 37 pieces of equipment were involved in extinguishing the fire.
The fire broke out in a warehouse located on Kudinovskoye Highway. The fire is spreading throughout the area. It is planned to attract a fire train to put out the fire.
A TASS source in emergency services specified that there was a partial collapse of the building and there was a threat to the neighboring one, located 10 meters away. The fire received the third rank of complexity out of five.
The warehouse is located on the territory of a production and warehouse complex with a total area of 112 hectares. The area of all warehouses is 520,000 square meters. Textbooks and other printing products were stored inside the warehouse that caught fire.
