Two loud bangs heard in Central Russia’s Voronezh - rescuers

An Investigative Committee official is about to arrive

MOSCOW, April 27. /TASS/. Two loud bangs were heard in the Shilovo neighborhood of the Central Russian city of Voronezh early on Wednesday, a district civil defense and emergency official has told TASS.

"Two loud bangs were heard in the Shilovo neighborhood area. A civil defense and emergency response team and a team of the Russian Emergencies Ministry are currently at the site of the incident. An Investigative Committee official is about to arrive," he said.

Local residents wrote on social networks that air defense systems were operational at around 04:40, and, apparently planes were scrambled twice in the reported period.

The Shilovo neighborhood is located near the Baltimor military airfield and approximately 300 km away from the Ukrainian border.
