Ammo depot on fire in Belgorod Region - governor
Vyacheslav Gladkov said damage of residential buildings or civilian casualties were not reported
MOSCOW, April 27. /TASS/. According to preliminary information, an ammunition depot is on fire near the village of Staraya Nelidovka in western Russia’s Belgorod Region near the border with Ukraine, the region’s governor Vyacheslav Gladkov wrote in his Telegram channel on Wednesday.
"I have just contacted the head of the Golovinsky rural settlement, Denis Zolotukhin. According to preliminary information, an ammunition depot is on fire near the village of Staraya Nelidovka," he wrote.
Gladkov said damage of residential buildings or civilian casualties were not reported.
The governor wrote in his Telegram channel early on Wednesday that loud bangs, similar to blasts, have been heard in the western Russian city of Belgorod not far from the border with Ukraine starting from 03:35 Moscow time.
"At approximately 03:35 I woke up from a loud bang that sounded like a blast. As I was writing this post, three more blasts were heard," Gladkov wrote.
