Over 90 houses in Belgorod Region damaged by shelling from Ukrainian territory — governor
It is reported that the emergencies services have already restored 26 damaged houses
MOSCOW, April 26. /TASS/. Shelling attacks from Ukrainian territory damaged 92 houses in the Graivoron urban district in the Belgorod Region bordering on Ukraine, Regional Governor Vyacheslav Gladkov said on his Telegram channel on Tuesday.
Another eight houses were damaged after the bombardment of the village of Golovchino overnight to April 26, he specified.
"The emergencies services began their work already at night, immediately after local residents heard the first explosion. Another eight houses were damaged after the first shelling [in the village of Golovchino]. Overall, 92 houses and 29 cars were damaged in the Graivoron urban district," the governor said.
The emergencies services have already restored 26 damaged houses and will complete the repairs of another eight on Tuesday. The regional governor also handed down directives to sort out residents’ complaints about problems with the operation of the Internet and mobile communications after the shelling.
The village of Golovchino came under fire from Ukraine on Tuesday. Prior to that, the village was shelled on April 19, following which three residents applied for medical assistance. The regional governor said that the houses damaged by the shelling would be repaired within the shortest time possible.
