KIEV, March 6. /TASS/. A member of Ukraine’s delegation to talks with Russia, Denis Kireyev, died while fulfilling a ‘special assignment,’ the Main Intelligence Directorate of Ukraine’s Defense Ministry said.
"Three intelligence officers, staffers of the Ukrainian Defense Ministry’s Main Intelligence Directorate, were killed while performing special assignments. These are Dolya Alexey Ivanovich, Chibineyev Valery Viktorovich, Kireyev Denis Borisovich," the directorate said in a statement.
"They died while defending Ukraine," it said.
Meanwhile, Ukrainian parliament member Alexander Dubinsky said on Saturday that Kireyev was killed while being detained by officers of the Ukrainian Security Service on suspicion of state treason. The Strana portal published a photograph of a male body, which it claims was made at the scene of Kireyev’s murder.
