MOSCOW, January 2. /TASS/. At least eight people, including Taiwan’s chief of the General Staff, have been killed after a helicopter made an emergency landing in northern Taiwan, Reuters reported on Thursday citing local media.
The news agency earlier reported that the helicopter was carrying 13 high-ranking military officers. Five people were found alive, it said.
According to the local newspaper Taiwan News, the helicopter, which took off from the Yilan county, landed in a mountainous area for an unspecified reason.
