Moscow Ostankino Tower to go dark in honor of New Zealand victims

MOSCOW, March 15. /TASS/. One of Moscow’s landmarks, the Ostankino Tower, will go dark for an hour on Saturday to honor the memory of those killed in the terrorist attack in Christchurch, New Zealand, a representative of the Russian Television and Radio Broadcasting Network informed TASS on Friday.
"On March 16, from 0:00 to 01:00, the Ostankino Tower will go dark to honor the memory of New Zealand’s Christchurch victims," the source said.
On Friday, armed assailants entered two neighboring mosques in Christchurch, New Zealand right after the day prayer and blocked the doors. Witnesses say that hundreds of people were still in the mosques when the attack occurred. According to recent data, 49 people were killed in the attack and dozens were injured.
Three men and one woman were detained in relation to the attack. According to the local police, one of the detained, a 28-year-old man, was charged with murder, and he will stand trial in Christchurch on Saturday. Two other suspects are currently held at the detention center, while another suspect’s involvement in the case has not been established.
