NEW YORK, October 24. /TASS/. A suspicious package discovered on Wednesday at the Time Warner Center, where the CNN TV channel New York headquarters are located, was addressed to Former CIA Director John Brennan, CNN reported.
Citing law enforcement sources, the TV channel stated that the explosive device was addressed to Former CIA Director John Brennan, who often gives interviews to the channel.
CNN President Jeff Zucker stated in a note to staff that they are checking all bureaus around the world "out of a complete abundance of caution."
The TV channel reports that the intercepted packages are similar to the ones intercepted earlier by the US Secret Service, mailed to former US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and former US President Barack Obama. No one was hurt in the incident, and a criminal investigation has been launched.
