SOCHI, December 19. /TASS/. Russian state oil company Rosneft expects that the synergistic effect of the purchase of Bashneft oil company will amount to 170 billion rubles ($2.8 bln) and by now this figure has already exceeded 40 billion rubles ($681 mln), a company representative told reporters.

"In general, we expect about 170 billion rubles," he said.

At the same time, for the period from 2018 to 2022, the effect of the joint work of the companies, he said, would be 105 billion rubles ($1.8 bln)

In 2016, Rosneft bought 50.1% of Bashneft's shares for 329.7 billion rubles ($5.6 bln) for the package. Currently, Rosneft controls 57.7% of the authorized capital of Bashneft. Russia’s republic of Bashkortostan holds 25% plus one share in Bashneft.
