Russia’s export of agricultural products to grow to $21.5 bln in five years
MOSCOW, May 30. /TASS/. Russian export of agricultural products will rise from $17 bln to $21.5 bln in coming five years, Agriculture Minister Alexander Tkachev told reporters on Tuesday.
"According to our estimates, export will grow by 27% in five future years. From $17 to $21.5 bln," the minister said.
Exporters of agricultural products will also receive compensations of logistical and transportation costs, Tkachev said.
"In accordance with the approved priority project on agricultural export support, exporters of agricultural produce will receive support under lending, insurance and exhibition participation programs and compensations of logistical and transportation expenses," the minister said.
Furthermore, a new kind of government support for agricultural producers is currently under consideration - compensation of a portion of costs of long-range rail transportation, Tkachev added.
