Russia's Gazprom, China's CNPC to expand cooperation

MOSCOW, May 15. /TASS/. Chief Executive Officer of Russia’s top gas producer Gazprom Aleksei Miller and Chairman of China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC) Wang Yilin signed papers on expansion of cooperation between the countries in the areas of underground gas storage, power industry and road infrastructure at a work meeting in Beijing on Monday.
"Aleksei Miller and Wang Yilin signed a memorandum of understanding between Gazprom, CNPC and China Huaneng Group on cooperation in the area of power industry in China. The document stipulates the intention of the sides to explore the possibility of a joint implementation of projects on thermal electric power plants construction," Gazprom said in a report.
