Russia to resume oil deliveries to Belarus in previous volume
"Belarus will repay the amount owed to Gazprom and we will resume oil supplies amounting to 24 mln tonnes," Russian Deputy Prime Minister Arkady Dvorkovich
ST. PETERSBURG, April 3. /TASS/. Russia will resume oil supplies to Belarus in previous volume, Deputy Prime Minister Arkady Dvorkovich told reporters on Monday.
"Some intergovernmental documents pertaining to mutual relations in the oil and gas sphere will be revised. Belarus will repay the amount owed to Gazprom and we will resume oil supplies amounting to 24 mln tonnes," Dvorkovich said.
"Oil supplies will be resumed more or less concurrently with payment of the underpaid amount of $726 mln. This will make possible for our Belarus partners to receive certain benefits," Dvorkovich said.
Gazprom will provide discounts to Belarus with a step-down coefficient to the price calculation formula for the period from 2018 - 2019, the official said. Bilateral relations after that period will depend on further negotiations, he added.
Russia may start supplying oil to Belarus already in April, according to the deputy prime minister.
"Oil supplies will start as soon as practicable, probably in April, depending on technical capabilities of companies to change supply schedules," Dvorkovich said.
