Winners of youth forum on Arctic to take traineeship at Economic Development Ministry

ARKHANGELSK, April 3. /TASS/. The international youth educational forum - Arctic. Made in Russia - took place near the northern city of Arkhangelsk, the forum’s press service said.
"A team of the forum’s winners will take a traineeship course at the Ministry of Economic Development," the press service said.
On the final day of the forum, teams presented their projects, devoted to development of the Arctic backbone zones. The team, which the jury and the event participants announced the winner, presented a project of ecology-friendly wood processing in the Arkhangelsk region. The team’s 14 participants received the right to take a traineeship course at Russia’s Ministry of Economic Development.
"The Arkhangelsk region is interested in implementation in the Arctic, including in our region, of the projects, which were presented at the forum Arctic. Made in Russia," the press service quoted the region’s Governor Igor Orlov. "All the notes I took during the presentations, as well as all the projects will be directed to the region’s Development Corporation."
The governor stressed it is most valuable that the presented projects are based on the public-private partnership and on attracting of private investments.
Foreign participants in the forum, who also presented projects, though outside the main competition, received certificates to participate without any prior competition in the 2017 World Festival of Youth and Students, due in October in Sochi. Another seven presenters received certificates to take traineeship course at the Marine Arctic Geological Expedition. Four specialists will take traineeship programs at Atomflot (nuclear fleet authority), and another three - at the Russian Arctic National Park.

The III international educational youth forum "Arctic. Made in Russia" unites young specialists and scientists involved in research of the Russian Arctic regions. The forum in Arkhangelsk worked from March 27 to April 2, 2017. It featured 150 young Russian scientists, ten of them are representatives of the North’s low-numbered indigenous peoples, as well a 25 foreigners from countries of the Arctic Council, Italy, China, Germany and other countries. The forum was organized in the framework of the Arctic: Territory of Dialogue international forum.
