Rosneft boosted development drilling by 34.5% in 2016

MOSCOW, February 14. /TASS/. Rosneft increased its development drilling by 34.5% to 9.3 mln meters in 2016, the Russian oil major said on Tuesday.
2D and 3D seismic surged 58.6% (to 35.9 running km) and 65.9% (to 11.95 square km) respectively last year. Rosneft also set a new record of average daily hydrocarbons production in the fourth quarter of 2016, totaling 5.83 mln barrels of oil equivalent. The average daily production as of the year-end was 5.37 mln barrels of oil equivalent.
Over 2,600 new wells were commissioned in 2016, up 43% year-on-year and being a new all-time high figure, Rosneft said. "The share of in-house drilling service in the overall footage steadily exceeds 50%," the company reported.
