BP interested in joint ventures with Rosneft in Russia, overseas
President of BP Russia David Campbell noted that the company is very pleased with the progress made so far with existing joint ventures
MOSCOW, January 27. /TASS/. UK-based BP is interested in establishing new joint ventures with Russian oil major Rosneft, President of BP Russia David Campbell told TASS on Friday.
"Yes, we would like to do more joint ventures with Rosneft," Campbell said.
"We are very pleased with the progress made so far with our existing joint ventures," the top manager said commenting on the current status of joint projects with the Russian oil major. "We continue to look at opportunities in different areas," he said.
"I don’t think it will be appropriate to talk about deals that are in progress," Campbell said responding to the question on potential areas of cooperation at the discussion stage. BP believes joint ventures should be mutually beneficial and with the "private sense" - technologies or experience of operating in different parts of the world, he added.
BP and Rosneft already set up two joint ventures earlier - Ermak Neftegaz and Taas-Yuryakh Neftegazdobycha.
