Russian low-cost airline Pobeda increases passenger numbers by almost 40% in 2016

Pobeda transported more than 4.3 million passengers in 2016
MOSCOW, January 11 /TASS/. Low-cost airline Pobeda (part of Aeroflot group) in 2016 transported more than 4.3 million passengers, which is 38.7% more than in 2015, according to the company. Earlier, Pobeda said that it planned to transport 4.2 million passengers in 2016.
"Low-cost airline Pobeda in 2016 transported more than 4.3 million passengers, exceeding the 2015 figure by 38.7%," the company said.
The airline’s CEO Andrey Kalmykov said earlier that in 2017 the airline planned to transport 5 million people.
Pobeda is Russia's first low-cost airline. The airline operates flights to 37 destinations, including 11 international, including Germany, Cyprus, Italy and Austria, Armenia, Georgia and Azerbaijan.
