Russian companies to participate in international show in India
The Vibrant Gujarat forum will feature representatives of more than 20 countries, including more than ten Russian companies and organizations
NEW DELHI, January 8. /TASS/. Russian companies and regions will participate in the Vibrant Gujarat Global Trade Show, which opens on Monday, January 9, in the capital of India’s Gujarat state - Gandihanagar, Russia’s Trade Representative in India Yaroslav Tarasyuk told TASS on Sunday.
"This is a major economic event in India, which will take place on January 9-13," he said. "The forum and exhibition will feature representatives of more than 20 countries, including more than ten Russian companies and organizations - the Emergencies Ministry, Sibur, Novatek, Rosneft, Roskosmos, Rosatom, Rostech, Schwabe, and others, as well as representatives of the Russian regions."
Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Rogozin will lead the Russian delegation, which will include representatives of Tatarstan and the Astrakhan region, which have long-standing partnership with India’s Gujarat state. Russia will have a big pavilion at the exhibition, and a Russian-Indian business forum is due on January 11.
"The promising directions for development of the trade and economic cooperation between Russian companies and the Gujarat State - a most developed region in India - could be the oil and gas and chemical industries, pharmaceuticals, automotive, defense industry, shipbuilding, and development of "smart cities"," the Russian official said.
The Vibrant Gujarat forum, the biggest regional forum in India, takes place every two years since 2003. Organizers say, its objective is to attract the leading experience in business and investment, to favor development of the region’s scientific and technical base.
