Russia boosts vodka production by 45% in November

MOSCOW, December 19. /TASS/. Vodka production in Russia grew by 45.3% year-on-year to 9.6 mln decaliters in November 2016, according to the Federal Statistics Service (Rosstat). Vodka production rose 14.1% on an annualized basis in January - November 2016.
Production of wines and spirits declined overall in the reporting period. Brandy production declined by 5.6% year-on-year to 789,000 decaliters. Production of wines and sparkling wines dropped 6.4% to 2.1 mln decaliters. Meanwhile, production of beer and beer-based drinks dropped 8.5% to 50.4 mln decaliters, Rosstat reports.
