Russian Economic Development Minister Alexey Ulyukayev is suspected of extorting a bribe from representatives of Rosneft
MOSCOW, November 15. /TASS/. Russian Investigative Committee (IC) recognized the Rosneft-Bashneft deal as legal, IC spokesperson Svetlana Petrenko told TASS on Tuesday.
"Rosneft's purchase of stake in Bashneft was completed on legal grounds," Petrenko said adding that this is not a subject of investigation.
Ulyukayev was caught red-handed when receiving a bribe, she said.
"We are talking about extorting a bribe, together with threatening representatives of Rosneft. Ulyukayev was caught red-handed when receiving the money," Petrenko said.
On October 12, Rosneft purchased a 50.08% stake in Bashneft for 329.69 billion rubles.
