Chinese investors contribute almost $3 bln to Far Eastern projects

MOSCOW, October 20. /TASS/. Chinese investors are implementing 21 projects in the Russian Far East with investments amounting to 180 bln rubles ($2.9 bln), Russian Minister of Far East Development Alexander Galushka said on Thursday at the meeting with business community representatives of China’s Heilongjiang Province.

"Dozens of investors from China have already taken advantage of new opportunities an investor in the Far East receives. Now there are already 21 projects with participation of investors from China and investments over 180 bln rubles ($2.9 bln)," the Minister said.

A Sino-Russian agro-industrial development fund was also established, the Minister said. The Fund is currently viewing 10 major projects amounting to over 80 bln rubles ($1.3 bln).
