BRICS leaders adopt final declaration of Goa summit
The participants also approved a joint action plan on implementing the declaration specifying the work of the organization for the next year
BENAULIM, October 16. /TASS/. Leaders of BRICS countries (Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa) have adopted a final declaration at the summit in India’s state of Goa.
The BRICS member states reiterate their commitment to the principle of non-interference into domestic affairs of states and their non-acceptance of unilateral sanctions:
"We remain confident that resolving international problems require collective efforts for peaceful settlement of disputes through political and diplomatic means. Implementation of principles of good-faith, sovereign equality of States, non-intervention in the internal affairs of States and cooperation excludes imposition of unilateral coercive measures not based on international law. We condemn unilateral military interventions and economic sanctions in violation of international law and universally recognised norms of international relations," the document says.
"No State should strengthen its security at the expense of the security of others," the leaders stressed.

Other documents endorsed at the summit are a memorandum of understanding to create a platform of agricultural research, a provision on the Committee on customs cooperation of BRICS countries and a memorandum of understanding between diplomatic academies of the five countries.
