Rosatom’s orders for nuclear power plants construction abroad to reach $137 bln

GORKI, October 11. /TASS/. Rosatom plans to increase the portfolio of orders for nuclear power plants construction abroad to $137 bln as of 2016 year-end, Chief Executive of the Russian state-owned corporation Alexey Likhachev said on Tuesday at the meeting with Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev.
"Orders as of the beginning of this year totaled $110 bln; we plan to have $137 [bln] as of the year-end," Likhachev said.
Construction of nuclear power plants is underway in nine countries and intergovernmental agreements were made with four countries, he added.
Negotiations with Turkish partners on construction of Akkuyu nuclear power plant were held on Monday in Istanbul, Likhachev added.
