MOSCOW, October 3. /TASS/. No serious problems are in place for resumption of foods supplies to Russia from Turkey, head of Russian veterinary and phytosanitary watchdog Rosselkhoznadzor Sergei Dankvert said on Monday in an interview with Rossiya 24 TV Channel.

"I do not see any major and significant problems in this regard. We have worked with Turkey for quite a long time and continue working," Dankvert said.

Tomatoes are one of the most challenging categories of Turkish food export because it is difficult to monitor quality of products with such large harvests, Dankvert said. Large tomato suppliers have better chances for resumption of deliveries to Russia, he added.

Russia introduced the ban on the range of agricultural products from Turkey since January 1, 2016.
