Gazprom marks high demand for Russian gas among Nord Stream-2 states
MOSCOW, September 16. /TASS/.Russian gas giant Gazprom is marking a higher demand for Russian gas in the countries located along the Nord Stream-2 pipeline route, Gazprom CEO Alexei Miller told reporters.
"We continue to mark a higher demand for Russian gas in the countries located along the Nord Stream-2 pipeline route. For example, supplies to Germany from September 1 to 15 grew by 27.9% in comparison with the first half of September 2015, to Austria - 39.7%, to Denmark - 221.8%. The Nord Stream-2 route is being implemented in compliance with the schedule," he said.
The Nord Stream-2 project provides for the construction of two lines of the offshore gas pipeline with a total capacity of 55 billion cubic meters of gas per year from Russia to Germany under the Baltic Sea. It is planned that the Nord Stream-2 will be commissioned by the end of 2019. Capital expenditures for the project are estimated at 8 billion euros, and the total cost including project financing is 9.9 billion euros.
