VIENTIANE, September 8. /TASS/. Russia’s Inter RAO Engineering, A-RKSYENS and Electricite du Laos Generation Public Company have signed a memorandum on the project for the construction of Sekong 5 hydropower plant in Laos.

The document was inked on Thursday in the presence of Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev and Laotian President Bounnyang Vorachit.

Apart from that, Russia’s ruling United Russia party signed a cooperation agreement with the Lao People’s Revolutionary Party.
