New mainline truck prototype assembled at KAMAZ factory
KAZAN, September 6. /TASS/. A prototype of the new mainline truck KAMAZ-65208 was assembled at the Kamaz car factory, the company’s press service told TASS.
"The representative of the new range of KAMAZ-65208 has been assembled in the new conditions on the car factory’s test area," the press service said.
The new truck is equipped with a Daimler engine, ZF automatic transmission, Daimler drive axle, it is intended for carrying goods as a part of road-train. "The assembled product was sent to the Scientific and Technical Center for certification," the press-service said.
KAMAZ Group is the largest automobile corporation of in Russia. It also ranks 11th among the world's top heavy truck manufacturers. It produces trucks (over 40 models, more than 1,500 kits, right-hand vehicles), trailers, buses, tractors, engines, power units, and different tools. The group of the process chain includes 12 large automobile plants.
To date, KAMAZ Group includes over 150 organizations located in Russia, the CIS and the far abroad. As of 1 February 2015, 43,512 people worked in departments and associated companies of OJSC KAMAZ. The authorized capital of KAMAZ makes up 35.36 bln ($544 mln). The largest shareholdings belong to the state and commercial banks.
