Japanese companies might be interested in privatization of Russian firms

Head of VTB believes the number of Japanese investors in Russia will grow - especially in the Far East

VLADIVOSTOK, September 3. /TASS/. Japanese companies might be interested in privatization of Russian assets, improvement in the geopolitical situation in relations with Russia is necessary, Head of VTB Andrey Kostin told TASS.

"Of course, they might be interested. So far, there are political constraints for the Japanese partners. If the situation changes, we will see more of Japanese capital in Russia, and especially here, in the Far East," he said.
