Putin: Russia and China in talks over Russian motor carriers
According to Vladimir Putin, Russia is currently in talks with China over granting Russian motor carriers the right to transport goods to China
VLADIVOSTOK, September 2. / TASS / Russia is in talks with China about granting Russian motor carriers the right to transport goods on the Chinese territory, Russian President Vladimir Putin said at a meeting with prospective investors of the Far Eastern Federal District.
"They have a general rule that trucks must move along specified routes and transportations are made by domestic carriers. Our Chinese friends understand that these are natural limitations and they create problems for economic actors. We are currently negotiating on how these activities can be liberalized," Putin said.
According to the Russian president, this is a real problem for Russian businesses, which have to repeatedly load goods into Chinese trucks on the border with China.
"I hope that we will reach any specific decisions, especially when it comes to specific manufacturers and specific traffic routes. I think that here we will find common ground and an agreement will be reached to simplify the route from a producer to a recipient," the president said.
