Gazprom does not rule out high gas export volume next year — CEO Miller
Gazprom CEO has stated that high gas export volumes might be possible in the upcoming year
VLADIVOSTOK, September 2. /TASS/. Gazprom does not rule out high gas export volumes will be in 2017, considering current trends, Chief Executive Officer of the Russian gas holding Alexei Miller said on Friday.
"We have 10% year-on-year export growth in eight months of this year. Trends are fairly objective. [Export growth] factors continue playing their role," Miller said.
Several factors are influencing on gas export growth, Miller said. "In actual fact, several factors contribute to growth of Gazprom’s exports to Europe. One of them is the decline of production in the territory of the EU, in Europe. In particular, I mentioned the Netherlands," he added.
Furthermore, such factors as the decline in supplies outside the European Union, contracted LNG share in Europe’s consumption structure, higher share of pipeline gas and overall consumption growth by 2.6% year-on-year are also playing their role, Miller said.
Gazprom boosted export gas deliveries to non-CIS countries by 9.7% year-on-year in eight months of 2016.
