The Sberbank CEO believes the decision was made under serious circumstances
MOSCOW, August 17. /TASS/. Head of Sberbank Herman Gref believes that postponing privatization of Bashneft is not a positive signal for the market, he told reporters on Wednesday.
"This is not a positive signal for the market. It is very important to clearly state the reasons for the decision. The decision was made, probably there were serious circumstances," Gref said.
According to him, these circumstances need to be brought to the market’s attention. "Then, after explanations, certain turbulence in the market and misunderstanding," Head of Sberbank said.
"At the moment, I will not comment on whether 2017 will be a better year for privatization in terms of the economic situation. So far, it promises to be better," Gref said.
