Russia, Brunei to set up joint investment fund in nearest future — minister

VIENTIANE (Laos), August 5. /TASS/. Experts from Brunei will arrive in Russia for talks with the Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF) on creation of a joint investment fund, Economic Development Minister Aleksey Ulyukayev said Friday.
"We just discussed this topic with him (Brunei’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Lim Jock Seng - TASS), and agreed that they will send their experts shortly to engage RDIF (in the issues related to the joint investment fund - TASS)," he said following the bilateral meeting with his Brunei’s counterpart.
According to Ulyukayev, investment projects in such areas as energy and water desalination may be implemented within the fund.
