Russia has not received formal WTO claims from Ukraine on transit delays
Vladimir Putin earlier signed a decree on economic security measures during transit carriage of goods from Ukraine to Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan via Russia
MOSCOW, July 13. /TASS /. Russian authorities have not received any formal WTO claims from Ukraine that Russia delays Ukrainian transit railcars and trucks, representative of the Ministry of Economic Development told TASS on Wednesday.
"No official claims from the Ukrainian side have been received for the time being," the representative said.
Ukraine disseminated a statement within the WTO framework on its negative attitude towards changes introduced by the decree of the Russian president, he said.
"This document simply contains Ukraine’s position; it’s not formally a complaint after which official proceedings within the WTO start," the representative said.
Vladimir Putin earlier signed a decree on economic security measures during transit carriage of goods from Ukraine to Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan via Russia. According to the document, such transportation can only take place from the territory of Belarus on condition of use of identification aids (seals) for freight compartments.
