Gazprom sees no negative consequences of Brexit — CEO
Natural gas deliveries to the United Kingdom are growing
MOSCOW, June 30. /TASS/. Russia's gas giant Gazprom does not see negative consequences of Brexit and deliveries to the United Kingdom are growing, Chief Executive Officer of the Russian gas holding Alexei Miller said on Thursday.
"We do not see any adverse consequences for us from Brexit. We are highly happy with the UK market. Gas deliveries to the United Kingdom grew by almost 4 bln cubic meters of gas year-on-year in the first half of this year in absolute terms," Miller said.
"We see from the time of Brexit that growth dynamics of our gas on the UK market has not changed at all and continues demonstrating very high growth rates," Miller said. If the current trend continues, annual increment of deliveries to the United Kingdom may be record-breaking 8-12 bln cubic meters of gas, he added.
