Anti-crisis plan to cost Russia around $9.8 bln — economic development minister

ST. PETERSBURG, January 28. /TASS/. The anti-crisis plan set forth by Russia’s Economic Development Ministry, implies expenditures at 750 bln rubles ($9.8 bln), with unbudgeted funds totaling around 210 bln rubles ($2.7 bln) worth of (finances from) the Anti-crisis fund, the Minister of Economic Development Aleksey Ulyukayev said on Thursday.

"It contains a budgeted part of 310 bln rubles worth of loans to be granted to constituent entities, it is lined in the budget. Taking it into consideration this [the funds aimed for implementation of the anti-crisis plan] totals around 750 bln rubles. If we don’t take what is budgeted we have around 210 bln rubles left, with funds from the Anti-crisis fund being the source," the minister said.

Currently the Russian government is finalizing the updated anti-crisis plan based on lower oil prices. On January 25, Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev requested to prepare the document by February 1.

As TASS reported earlier with reference to Deputy Prime Minister Arkady Dvorkovich the preliminary amount for support of Russia’s priority economic sectors (automobile industry, transport machine-building, light industry and construction) is estimated at 100 bln rubles ($1.3 bln) in 2016.
