First LNG plant in Siberia to start operations in August 2016

KEMEROVO, December 18. /TASS/. Russia’s Sibir-Energo will invest $13.3 mln into development of the first liquefied natural gas (LNG) plant in Siberia, Executive Director of the company Denis Snitsky said of Friday.

The first stage of the modular plant is scheduled to be launched in August 2016. The design and technology were provided by China’s Cosic. "Investments into the project will be about 950 mln rubles ($13 mln). The existing Gazprom’s main gas line will be the gas supply source. Plant site is already prepared now; all the service lines are laid and the road was built," Snitsky said. The project is estimated to be paid back in more than five years.
